Daniel Buren at the Palazzo Buontaleni and Pistoia Musei, Pistoia, Italy

Daniel Buren, one of the most influential figures in contemporary art, is known for his distinctive visual language and site-specific works. Born on March 25, 1938, in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, he has spent nearly seven decades redefining the relationship between art, space, and perception. His signature use of alternating stripes and in situ installations continues to challenge and transform architectural and urban environments worldwide.
