Tatsuo Miyajima at Daegu Art Museum, Daegu, Korea

The Daegu Art Museum inaugurates its new Gallery 6 with Keep Changing, Connect with Everything, Continue Forever, a group exhibition curated around Tatsuo Miyajima’s guiding philosophy. This marks the first show in the museum’s expanded space.

The exhibition moves beyond anthropocentrism to explore how all entities, matter, nature, time, and existence, connect through dynamic cycles. On view are works by ten artists from the museum's collection, including Miyajima, alongside Alicja Kwade, Lee Ufan, Anicka Yi, Richard Long, and others. The museum emphasizes that: “matter is not fixed and repeats transforming… all forms of matter are mutually connected via relationship‑forming”.

Miyajima contributes site‑specific installations like Painting of Change and Changing Landscape/Changing Museum, where his signature LED counters, fast cycles of numerals from 1 to 9, embody life’s impermanence, collective flow, and cosmic continuity. These numeric light sequences reference Buddhist samsara and Nietzsche’s eternal return, reinforcing the exhibition’s theme of constant transformation.
