Renowned Japanese artist presents a solo exhibition Human Life as Collective Experience at Asia University Museum of Modern Art in Taichung. Bringing together 15 works, including five participatory projects created with local communities, the exhibition explores themes of continuity, connection, and collective existence.
Changing Landscape / Changing Museum (2025), is a new site-specific installation that reflects the interplay between landscape, museum space and human perception. Created using half mirror film and installed on the windows of the museum, the work invites viewers to look outward – to witness the shifting natural landscape as well as the sunlight-through numerals that symbolize time and space.
The digits seen in the installation were selected randomly by students from Asia University using a fortune wheel, appear in the museum as a product of coincidence.
