Daniel Buren at the Liège-Guillemins railway station, Belgium

Daniel Buren's new site-specific installation at the Liège-Guillemins railway station in Belgium will be on display from 15 October 2022 to 15 October 2023.
The artist's monumental, temporary work bathes the Santiago Calatrava-designed station in vibrant colours. Titled Comme tombées du ciel, les couleurs in situ et en mouvement, the work plays with Calatrava's architecture and immerses the station with a vibrant interplay of coloured light. Squares of pink, green, blue, white and orange form a chequerboard pattern on the roof of the station, whereas the side walls feature red and yellow stripes reminiscent of Buren's characteristic works with striped cotton panels.
