Bettina Pousttchi at the Museum Reinhard Ernst, Wiesbaden, Germany

A striking new permanent sculpture by Bettina Pousttchi now welcomes visitors to the Museum Reinhard Ernst in Wiesbaden.

Titled Vertical Highways – Progressions 4, the seven-meter-long artwork integrates seamlessly with the museum’s architecture and visual design. Sculpture and Structure evolve hand in hand, resulting in an outstanding work where architecture and art merge to create a powerful experience.

Pousttchi’s sculpture is made from guard rails, which she mechanically deforms and assembles into upright, column-like forms. Despite their transformation, the original barriers remain visible, hinting at the intense physical processes involved.
