Over a period of ten years (from April 2013 to May 2023), Buchmann Galerie Lugano has realised around forty exhibitions in the space at Via della Posta 2 in collaboration with artists such as Tony Cragg, Tatsuo Miyajima, Lawrence Carroll, Bettina Pousttchi, Fiona Rae, Wolfgang Laib, Véronique Arnold, Livio Bernasconi, Felice Varini, Alex Dorici, Martin Disler, Daniel Buren, Alberto Garutti, Steiner & Lenzlinger and many others.
In these presentations, Elena Buchmann focused mainly on a work or a group of works created especially for the exhibition. Many works were subsequently sold to private collectors and institutions. During this decade, Buchmann Galerie Lugano also produced several publications and supported numerous projects by its artists.
The next projects will no longer have the character of a monographic exhibition, nor will they be limited in time and will present works by artists with whom Elena Buchmann has been closely associated over time.
On Saturday, 3 June, the space will be set up in a new form, presenting works by Livio Bernasconi, Alex Dorici and Mario Merz in a free way.
The Buchmann Galerie Lugano confirms itself as a space and a place for art, communication, meeting and discussion with and for art lovers.
The presentations can be visited at any time by appointment or invitation.
